help with furniture layout tv above fireplace ♀️

Sorry for long post!!!
New build currently being framed by my husband I will post some photos and my sketch which is how the house is framed right now. I can post the original plans as well if that is helpful! We just moved the fireplace from the middle of the floor to the back wall of house, therefore eliminating 3 windows with a view of the woods ! Our house is in a small wooded subdivision and needs to be board and batten earth tone cottage in the woods! We are one mile from Lake Michigan
Anyway so do I have to put the tv above fireplace ?! I want it right where that damn bedroom door is 🙄😆 help with design of living room please ! We also have 3 3 by 5 casement windows left over after the fireplace move that my husband is not looking forward to reframing in elsewhere but I’m sure he will end up using them somewhere in this house !
Moving onto the easy breeze porch …. It is at the entry of our house. Do you have any awesome ideas for furniture layout for it ? 👀🤩🤔😎
FYI upstairs are two bedrooms for my little girls. Each bedroom has its own 6 by 10 bathroom 🚽
Thanks all!

In your earlier plans, I wanted to suggest moving the bedroom door to the little hall with the stairs, but I didn’t because I figured you didn’t want to walk over the hatch. Now that who,e area has changed, so that’s no longer a possibility. Unless you redo that area a bit again…

I tried to get my husband to move that door when we were framing in that side of the house but it never quite happened

I like the 12" pantry display cabinet in the dining area. I see 24" base cabinets. 36" if you're using Ikea are more functional. A 48" to the right of the range full extension soft close if you're using another cabinet source. Useful for pot/pan storage. All drawers for the base. Wider if much better. I like the work zones on either side of the range. 48" between the frig and range is great, ime.

Instead of putting the tv where the bedroom door is, hang it flush on the opposite wall. Sink it in or build out the wall. 2" is enough for oled. Flip the couch.

Dan1888 Thanks ! I moved the couch now as you can see … just still feels off to me ! 🤷‍♀️ but much better I also tried to draw my rectangle dining table I want back in the plan but round seems to work better

If you read enough threads on this forum you find that sectionals cause endless amounts of grief in furniture arrangement. If you don't already own it, why don't you consider a sofa and chairs to allow you more flexibility in your layout? You'll have more room for your dining set as well.

Jenny I will try to come up with some different furniture to see if it helps! I don’t have anything purchased yet so that is a positive !!! I don’t love sectionals. I do have this rectangle dining table though and it doesn’t really seem like it’s going to fit anywhere

Erase that leg off your sectional and all at once your dining set has room to breathe.

Do you have a spot for hanging coats and storing shoes, hats etc near your main entrance? (I may have missed it.) If not, you may want a bench and either a closet or some built-ins for storage in your porch.

I so need a little “mudroom” wall somewhere I just don’t know yet how or where exactly

You don't need all the "!"s.

If it has not been done yet, now is a good time to move the door to the exterior out of the living room.

Mr Bischak I think that is a splendid thought! Like you said earlier my hubs might end up hating me if I keep up with nagging him about moving things around but that door has got to go elsewhere.

Much better that you and hubby hash it out now than you are saying when it's all done - I hate this we should have done that!
