Does anyone have a good recipe for Southern Style Collard Greens?


I have a huge amount of Collard Greens in my garden. I bought this meal at a Soul Food place. Their Collards seem to have a sweetness, like sugar or maple syrup added, plus some reddish pepper, either crushed red pepper or hot sauce. I figure they are vegetarian, no ham hocks or pork. When I have cooked collard greens before I have cooked a big batch down in some chicken stock, add lots of crushed garlic, some olive oil, various spices like allspice, a serano pepper, some Tobasco. Never added any sugar or anything sweet, which these Soul Food Collards seem to have. Thank you for reading!
