Vanity Wall & Medicine Cabinet Help

We are in the process of renovating our master bath. Here is a picture of our vanity that we are in the process of painting, it is 9 ft long. When we took of the large builder mirror from the wall, we have alot of wall to repair from the glue. I am hoping to put 2 30x40" mirrors over the sinks but not sure they will take up enough of that large wall. We are not adding any light fixtures to that wall as we have recessed lighting above.

We used to have a large mirror with corner medicine cabinets and I don't have the option of putting a recessed medicine cabinet going forward. Is there any ideas on what I can use for a medicine cabinet going forward? I have seen wall, surface mount, organizers but not sure if it would look nice on the side walls? Would a countertop organizer look better?

I also want advice on should I do a type of shiplap on that back wall above the vanity? I figured it would cover the mess easily. If I did shiplap, would you think vertical or horizontal?

Anything else I can do to dress up that large back wall to make it look great without being too expensive?

Wondering if a narrow recessed cabinet (no mirror) could be configured into the wall down the middle to save on counter space? Then wouldn't necessarily need to contend with covering the wall with shiplap.

The same thing happened to our wall when we were redoing our small 1/2 bath except pieces of Sheetrock came off while removing the mirror. While shiplap isn’t a favorite on this site we opted to go that route, relatively easy and inexpensive and we’re happy with the results. Good luck and hope you get a lot of great ideas

Why not just trim down the amount of stuff you need to store you have a big vanity there should be enough space in there for everything. If you need to store drugs then do those in the kitchen if you have little kids. and get some nice organizers for in the vanity.I dislike shiplap and it really is now a very dated idea. A drywall person can patch that fairly quickly and easily . There is IMO no rerason to not have a reccessed cabinet in the center of that wall it is not a big deal to do a bit of construction is all that is needed

So there is no chance of using any wall recessed cabinets above your countertops???

I'm always surprised when people think heading in this direction is an improvement.

Unless the wall over the vanity is an exterior wall, you could recess medicine cabinets there. It's a big vanity, but it doesn't have many drawers, so I think you really need medicine cabinets. You already have a lot of drywall patching to do, so no reason not to cut holes in it. If you don't do a countertop cabinet as shown above, put a piece of art in between the mirrors.

If it were me I would go to the trouble of removing the soffit with the recessed lighting and installing sconces. Having light on the sides of the mirrors is so much better. Overhead lights create a lot of shadows. I also would have replaced the vanity with one that has more drawers, but I assume you were trying to keep costs down.
