Help! What can we do with these reclaimed wood nightstands?

I need some help deciding what to do with these 2 nightstands. They were purchased from Etsy many years ago. They are made from reclaimed wood. Size is 21"x20" with each wood plank/piece being 3 inches wide.

The overall craftsmanship is poor: legs are wobbly, drawers don't work well, etc. They are also too large for our room.

1. Are they worth salvaging? What are simple projects we can do using the wood pieces? We're not very handy, so an easy DIY would be ideal.

2. If we can repurpose them, what is the best "sealant" or varnish we can use on them? The wood looks pretty rough now. I think it needs a good sanding, and then something to protect it from rot or mold.

3. Or should we just get rid of them for free on Craigslist?

I tried googling ideas, but can't find anything. Also, we don't know how to work with reclaimed wood.

What would you do?
