Reminder to change the clocks tonight. The phrase on the sundial:

Serene I stand among ye flowers

And only count life's sunny hours

For me dark days do not exist

    I'm a brazen-faced optimist

No sundial from me but a clock on a building, minus the storks. Charleston, S.C.

Astrology clock, built 1423, it tells both the time and the zodiac sign.....Note there's no Libra, and Cancer takes up two spaces.

Clock tower on the ”castle house” a couple miles from us.

First clock I came across in my photo library - our old 1950s oven, original to our 1950s house, just before we had to replace it in 2010:

If the repairman had been able to get the serial number, which was illegible, we might have it still. It kept perfect temperature for more than 50 years.

Carol, that’s amazing! We had an old fridge in the garage at a previous home. It was yellow and I can’t remember but I think the brand was Westinghouse. It was left by the people we bought the house from. We finally got rid of it. It was still working fine at 45 years old but a total energy hog. Gone are the days of appliances lasting anywhere near that long.

Apparently, these had matching enameled cooktops, but ours was replaced, not sure why. I learned this when we went to an open house in the neighborhood that still had the oven and cooktop - in aqua. They also had an aqua wall refrigerator, which wasn't working, but was amazing.

I've often wondered if the buyer got rid of it all. Over the years, I've seen a few at the curbside as people remodeled. I believe they came in pink too.
