Am I on the right track with this color combo?

last year

What color flooring do I pair with this cabinet/granite combination? Ash? Blonde woods? I would like a neutral modern leaning space. The installation area gets south facing sun. Am I on the right track with these flooring options below?

the dusk cherry is nice w/the birch cabs. (2nd- beaumont) However, I'd go w/a diff granite. is that an option?

any chance of getting a better picture of it?

this is what I found on it

the other name for this is Luna Pearl

    here it is w/darker cabs

these would be nice on the wal

stay away from anything w/yellow undertones. you want taupe/red/pink/neutral whites/neutral grays undertones

There is a slight peachy pink color that comes through in the south facing sun. The walls are SW Extra White. Looking very warm.

IMO the granite is pretty classic and I too like the Dusk but the cabinets in the first pic look much darker than the other .I see some yellow cast to your lighting so change those bulbs to LED 4000K before choosing anything else. I do hope the flooring is being installed everyhwere not just the kitchen.

Thank you Patricia! Great advice on the lighting. The flooring is going throughout the house. I do not want to get it wrong. Hoping to still love it in 20 years.

I think you're on the right track with light wood. Unfortunately, on my monitor those samples all look about the same, so hard to give advice. I have a slight preference for the top-right, but if the tones are more pinky than yellowy, the bottom two might be right. The differences will give way to the aging of the wood/finish over time, so I wouldn't pull your hair out. :)

Floor choices looks good with excrption of right top that looks too yellow to me. What doesnt look correct is short backsplash, specially if you looking for modern look. Specially two picess that going on the side of cabinets.

Is the Dusk Cherry vinyl plank from lifeproof. if so get a box and lay out before you decide. i thought it looked a little darker and more rustic than the sample

Hi Susan, yes this is lifeproof dusk cherry. 22m. It is softer than the 6m contractor dusk Cherry which had a heavy grain texture.

Which one? (These are virtual renderings)

Thoughts on this color? The pattern would be laid in the stair step pattern. (Not sure why the rendering did this pattern)

Shirlpp, Thank you for your comment. I agree that testing these in the space is crucial. I was trying to determine if I should collect more samples or stick with the first selection in this post. I am not sure if I need a cool toned floor or a slightly warm tone. Yes, I would like to remove the 6in backsplash and replace it with an ivory/white tile with light grout. The problem is the stone has been applied to the cabinetry end panels and I may damage the panel if I remove it.

I think Beaumont is best. The other three are too gold or too pink. I agree with one of the comments about another option for granite. This kind of granite has a very common look.

Take a look a these real examples in natural southwest exposure light. When I placed them in the bathroom without natural light they pull taupe/violet. Should I look for something more pink? Thoughts?

I would go with Beaumont or Vesinet Oak. I think the cabinets would look nicer painted a Sage green or Cedar Mountain and also paint the island in that color.

However-is this LVP? Have you vetted the product and installer? LVP has the worst track record for longevity and with a whole home you will have transition strips everywhere - are you aware of this? Have you had your pro out to evaluate your subfloor?

Yes. This is LVP. I will be installing the 22m wear layer/7mm thick substrate. These are the three that passed the color and quality control test. The subfloor is flat and level concrete. New construction.

Hey Beth H- If I were able squeeze new countertops into this budget what countertop would you pair with these "cinnamon" saddle birch cabinets? (Maybe white countertops with white subway tile) What do you think about Silestone blanco maple or Stonemark perla white or Stonemark artic white? Or do you think I should go for a marble look quartz like Carrara Latte?

I like this one w/the wood. anyway to see the whole slab first?

are you limited to these choices? I know there are other options.

MSI calacatta laza is a nice choice.

Perla Venata or Taj Majal quartzite are two others that look nice w/wood

Do NOT do the 4" backsplash if you're going to do tile. it's one or the other.

Please get some nice hardware for the cabs. they will look better and keep them cleaner.

I'd do gold but I see you already have nickel elsewhere.

That bright white wall and door is too white. have you considered painting that door? walls?

wait until new countertop is in (no 4" piece!) before choosing a backsplash

BETH H, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE WONDERFUL OPTIONS! Yes I know not to install the 4in backsplash. Yes, I will install hardware and repaint.
