Toilet Clogged- need help!

Hello! I need some professional advice. I have a Kohler Highline 1.6 GPF toilet tank, installed intentionally because my daughter has a GI disease and her BM tend to be dense and un-flushable. I typically do not flush her BM but she got to the flusher handle before I could stop her… now the toilet won’t flush properly…

We tried a plunger, toilet auger twice, baking soda and vinegar, hot water with dish soap, plumber adjusted all the mechanisms in toilet tank. Still the water isn’t flushing right. It isn’t powerful, takes multiple flushes to really go down.

What’s the next step?? What do I need to do? Will replacing the toilet even help if the problem is in the pipes? Do I need to do a drain clean out? Power auger? I’m hosting the holidays here and need to get this issue resolved before then, Please help!

I'm sorry this happened.

A toilet auger should be able to clear the toilet trap.

I would suggest that you will probably need to pull the toilet.

If the clog is not visible from the underside of the toilet, then it will be in the pipe.

If it's unclear if the pipe is clogged, pour a bucket of water into the drain and see if it backs up.

If it's the pipe, then you will need to run the drain with a drain machine.

HI,

Before you pull the toilet dump a bucket of water in the toilet, If it flushes then your problem is between the tank and the bowl if this is the case shut the water off to the toilet and flush, the bowl should be very low) use about a quart of muriatic acid and pour it into the overflow. let it set for about a half an hour the acid will set in the rim and clear i out the holes in the rim then flush.

Me thinks there's a toy or other object stuck in toilet. The auger and plunger would have busted the stool up enough for it to pass.

This is a common problem. The eco-weenies thought they could legislate the water use problem away, but in fact with the additional flushes required, they've made the problem worse.

So, instead of paying attention to the facts presented by the OP, you insert your politics.

The truth is that most low flow fixtures work pretty well and we've seen a lot of innovation in all areas - plumbing, electrical, automobiles, etc. because manufacturers and consumers alike were brought to the table by government standards.

Just to refresh your memory, let me remind you what the drought situation was a year ago. The west is still in a decades long mega-drought that saw some relief this year, but it's by no means over.

I've never heard of such a thing. At the risk of TMI, what do you do with it? Take it out with the trash so it goes into the landfill instead of the sewage treatment plant? How old is she please?
