Matching Bathroom Mirror/Lights to Topknob Honey Bronze Hardware Help

last year

Hi! I love the these pulls/knobs and they look really good with our cabinets. We're mixing metals in our bathroom and doing chrome faucets and then bronze hardware/mirror/lights. Right now I'm trying to find mirrors and lights that have a similar finish to my knobs. I'm including some links if you think any of those will match or if anyone has some ideas! Thanks

CB2 Mirror in Brass

Wayfair Mirror in Brushed Gold

Vanity Light

Sconce if I don't choose a vanity light

Sorry but IMO bathrooms are space that need less is more in many ways . I love chrome I do not love it with bronze. You need to post a pic of the knobs to really answer this question. I would like to see all of the oter elments in the space for sure post all of those in pics here in a comment DO NOT start another post .

Don't just put links in your post ... you'll get more responses if you take a screenshot of the product and put that in the post.

That said, it will be very hard to judge finishes from a photo. You might just need to order a product, compare and then deal with returning things. I have several similar "golds" in my bathroom and it works fine, but you won't know until you see them next to each other.

I like links better so didn't think to post screenshots. Here they are:

    Handle

    CB2 Mirror

    Wayfair Mirror

    Vanity Light

    Sconce

These are just ideas I had. I was really hoping someone could comment who's actually used the honey bronze hardware and if they found any mirrors or lights that matched the finish

Patricia, I really like this bathroom which mixes chrome and brass. I think it's okay if someone doesn't like it. We all have different preferences. I like it so will be doing this but am asking about matching the bronze hardware finish.

If I had seen that color at the beginning it would have helped since bronze is much different color than brass . It is always hard to match metal finishes from different makers that is why often all one color is best . This is your space do what you love when get here you will get lots of opinions mine is just one.I think if the only thing different is the faucet why not just do brass .

I am not sure the door hardware matches the mirror and light in your inspiration picture. They are close enough. No one will notice if they are not exact matches.

Most people won't notice that you are mixing chrome and brass. My sister has different knobs on each pair of kitchen cabinets. They are all different shapes and sizes - hand made, whimsical knobs. Most people don't notice, and sometimes, after a few years of visiting someone will go into the kitchen for a glass and notice that the knob on that door is big blue beetle.

Don't drive yourself too crazy trying to match identically.

Jennifer, you’re right, I’m definitely over thinking this! Thank you, I think I was going down a rabbit hole and needed to be reminded that it’s all fine

I used the TopKnobs Honey bronze hardware, but in the kitchen! I'll grab an extra pull and compare it to the "golds" in my master bath. I'll report later!

Monitors are not fully reliable but the handle seems to have a touch of a rose-gold-ish color in it. The other items look like they will play well together. Only the handle looks a little off color from the others.

The trim on the mirrors you like is so thin it will work with anything in the same bronze family.

I have those honey bronze pulls on the vanity and chrome everything else. They play very nicely together. You're overthinking it. :-)

BPMBA, your bathroom looks so good! I really am overthinking this. Your picture is making me overthink it even more because now I can’t decide if should do it like yours or the picture of the bathroom I posted :)

We recently completed a bathroom remodel and also chose a Top Knobs honey bronze pull. We did use luxe gold plumbing fixtures. Our choice for mirror and light fixtures is not a perfect match but it looks fine to us and we are satisfied with it completely.

@clt3 - your bathroom is lovely. Besides the hardware, I like the blue towels and rug with the wood.

I’m in the keep-the-hardware-one-color camp. This is a great example of everything in bronze and gold tones.

The honey bronze is a lovely match for brizo luxe gold/delta champagne bronze if you did want fixtures to match. I drive myself crazy when we redid our bath trying to get everything to match with luxe gold. Mirrors seemed especially difficult. I ended up painting the metal on the mirrors I ordered because I really liked them, but the gold was very orange/antiqued texture. Turned out great! We just redid the rest of our house and used a lot of honey bronze gold (we used those exact handles it our kitchen - they are lovely!), and I used a designer this time. There’s definitely more variation in the golds than I was holding myself to in our bathroom remodel, but it still generally works. Pottery barn/west elm seem to use a gold semi-similar for their mirrors/lighting. So lesson learned that it doesn’t all have to be exact. You can also consider using a texture for mirrors, like wood or woven. But even in your inspiration pic, the mirror seems more organish than the lights/handles, and it was beautiful enough to save and share! Good luck!

I think your brass selections are great. I would not add chrome to those selections. It will look like a mistake or you ran out of money

Any lights over the mirror should be minimal in design IMO.
