What style and colour under-TV cabinet?

Replacing the TV cabinet and getting rid of large speaker. We have several different woods in the house. Not sure what colour wood to buy for cabinet. I know the house looks very “country” but trying not to go too much more that way. I’m thinking black to match TV and stove… or cream to match sofa table and dining room set. Or even light wood to match maple kitchen cabinets and all other trim?

you did't reveal the entire wall of the TV in your post.

Would you conside painting just the Fireplace Wall/Mounted TV a Deep Rich color so it disappears into the wall... then choose a dark painted console for the components if necessary.

Navy, Deep Green, Black (TriCorn, Graphite...) Lower the TV to centered 45" off the floor.

...face the sofa toward your focal point, the Fireplace and TV.

Doesn't look like the best wall to have a TV, it' half way behind the side of the sofa. Please post more pictures to see if perhaps a better layout of furniture is possible in this room. Of course a plan with dimensions showing windows, doors, etc., is best but in a 1st attempt more pictures please.

Thank you for your comments. I moved in with my partner and our furniture is a mishmash of styles. The layout is the best I could come up with in this small home. No other place to put my daughters piano either. So I’m just looking for an opinion on style/ colour of under TV cabinet so as not to make this room look any busier.
As I am in the middle of taking down Christmas decorations, I’ll add some pics I found that might give you an idea of this open-concept home.

Is there a reason you did not choose the other side of the fireplace to put the tv. (the space between the fireplace and the window)?

Never thought of that. But that’s just where my partner had it when I moved in with him. Somehow I think the light from the window would cause glare and I don’t think there’s as much room on that side. But leaving things as they are, what colour cabinet would you recommend?

Any chance you could at least center it on that wall? Seems a black cabinet/console is good. It’s best when the console’s a little wider than the TV. Ideally about 25% wider but you can fudge it a bit.

I think I’d go with a lighter wood, and a bit of a rustic feel.

This one is Mexican pine, just showing as an example:

I'd get a cabinet the color of your floors and cabinets. Make it blend in more. Cute, cozy cat. It is refreshing to see a house with a piano in it these days.
