I'm getting an Aerogarden up and running for my Mother, I have never used one and only grown in regular soils.

To me, this system seems very odd, the pods are soggy with water and the herbs looks like they desperately need to not be growing in a bog.

I believe I followed the instructions for fill level and such, does Aerogarden and all hydroponics have this over watered state at all times?
