Exterior Design - New Roof/Gutters and Trim Color - Tudor Home
I'm planning to replace my shingle roof and it's an opportunity to change the exterior design of the house. I'm looking for suggestions on a new color scheme for the roof/gutters and trim work. Do you have any suggestions ideas? I'm thinking of a dark brown roof and dark brown trim for a more modern aesthetic with more contrast. Consider charcoal architectural shingle roof and black trim? Not open to changing the color of the exterior stucco (it's in good shape and that's too much work).

last yearYour home is beautiful. Go for a grey-black, or brown-black trim. Pure black and white is going to look too harsh and like a failed attempt to turn your home into a modern farmhouse look. Same for your roof - not pure black but black-ish. Most importantly, they don't have to match each other exactly. Probably more interesting if they do not.
This black seems to harsh.
This brownish black seems better.

last yearHere are some Tudor houses with different colors. There is a lot of variety out there. I agree with @houssaon that black is too severe.

Here are brown Tudors. I think the light trim is more “modern” and the browns look more old English countryside.
