I didn't see that one, Jan. But it makes my stomach turn to see anyone buying a lovely old home and bastardizing it. Every time I read the words "open concept," I want to scream.

You guys are too funny. "Open Concept" .....the proverbial HGTV buzz word and perhaps you've watched a tad tooooooo much, as the blasted "concept" is now about two decades of overkill.

Back to this am, I pronounce "this is as open as would be allowable", or you don't "love most everything about the house" and you should have bought a different house.

I took a third of the former dining room to get the closet and powder room.
