Help with choosing exterior colors for blonde brick

last year

Hi! Ok so after careful consideration we are choosing to keep our ugly brown roof. It isn't old enough to justify a new one so the color scheme will need to consider this as the roof color for the next decade or so. Planning to get new gutters. And everything else is also on the table as well as the brick, however I am leaning towards keeping it blonde given it's uniqueness in our neighborhood. The siding is actually wood and is very worn. Open to all ideas and suggestions. Ready for a welcomed change.

i'd look for a greige that goes with both brick and roof. the mortar color is often a good place to start. I think I'd stick with dark trim, including the underside of your eaves and the pillar at the front. Pick a color for the front door, to draw the eye.

Dunno, your shots show only part of the front, but here's a stab anyway.

SW Urbane Bronze usually looks good with this color of brick, but you'll have to see how it looks next to your windows. It might clash. If it does, look for a medium griege or taupe like acm suggests. Maybe Urbane Bronze would work on your front door if not on the siding.

Here are additional pictures. I am not sure why they aren't showing for you. I was hoping to move away from the brown accents and do something with a lighter tone, perhaps a gray that pulls from the mortar as you suggested. I appreciate your thoughts!

the dark trim is too much contrast. I'd go with a greige tone, and leave the gutter dark so not to contrast with the existing roof color.

    Here are some interesting ideas:

Since you have a lot of the brick, you could easily go the darker color route. I really like the one with the dark eaves.

    Good luck!

I would pick a color from the brick, either a taupe, or similar. Is there something wrong with your gutters? The ones you have look nice on your house. The darker eves, (to match the gutters), would look really nice.

Thanks all. I should specify that I am looking to do the window trim as well. I am not sure if that was clear in my initial message. Secondly the gutters are pretty old and I am embarrassed to say I have run them the few times I attempted the lawnmower. I really like the idea of dark eaves pic above. I would love to move away from the browns if possible. Appreciate the feedback.

The problem with moving away from browns, is that your brick, even though blonde, leads into the taupes etc, and also the grout in your brick, is a tan sandy color, not the grayish color that you want it to be. You could use a greenish color, but, really the brown towns are the best for your house.

Some option to go with warm gray/taupe or even charcoal and gray window trim.
