I'd mount the TV near the corner so you can have a fireplace/TV focal point.

I love the color of your floors.

Can you lower the mantle on your fireplace and put the TV there?

Since you have brick you may have to keep the brick but lose the mantle so the tv can sit closer to the wall.

Thank you all. It is a tv watching room. Just the two of us retired folks. Ed have company and need seating for 3 of 4 more people mostly.

You might try the TV mounted on the blank wall in the last photo. Then you could add a sofa and two chairs or a sectional and a chair. Here is a recent design of ours which is similar to what we are suggesting you do:

You could try floating a sofa facing the facing the blank wall to the left of the fireplace in the last image. Then you could mount the TV on that wall with a TV console under. Below are just a few images from our recent designs to help you more.
