Oh, that makes me sad!

One of my favorite outlet camouflage jobs was courtesy of @Oldbat2be who decoupaged photocopied tiles onto her switchplate. Isn’t it awesome?

The easiest solution is to change the outlets and switches to grey. Loutron sells these in lots of colors. If you want to get fancy you could also take images of your stone, print them out and glue them into clear acrylic switchplates made to accomodate wallpaper. But the white switches ought to be grey.

Leutron has sample chips so you can hold them up to your splash to get a feeling for them. Check them with lights on and off.

Change them to gray.

Next time you'll put less time into planning and being hands on involved and approving each segment of the project.

Jan I did originally ask for the outlets to be under the cabinet. Project manager told me it can be done, but it’ll take some cabinet space. I was naive and took his word for it.

To late for you now, but for anyone else doing new projects ... Plugmold doesn't take any space from an upper cabinet as it is attached underneath. I had my electrician find the slimmest one out there.

Attached to the bottom of the cabinet and then they added a thin finished panel/skin to have a finished look to the bottom of the upper cabinets.

You have two drawer stacks.....One could easily have been a below the counter microwave - We didn't see the original cabinetry plan....; (

They sell clear outlet covers. just photograph your stone, print it on paper and position it under the clear switch plate cover.

Lutron makes colored for bothe plate and the outlet they come in a ton of colors I use tehm often for this issue.I do not love under cabinet plugs often then you see the cord up the backspalsh from an appliance . That MW is just plain silly there it was meant to be above a range so IMO get one more cabinet there maybe with a glass door and get a counter top MW. Too bad you did not come here before this was a done deal that range in the corner is a total no go for me.

Jan I prefer drawer space over top cabinet space besides I enjoy the extra head space when chopping underneath the microwave 😁.

Why are kitchen outlets so often installed vertically? The work area tends toward horizontal lines, and horizontal outlets look so much better, even when they contrast in color.
