What dimensions should my pergola be to include the following:

Help me figure out the dimensions for the following design

i want to include an outdoor kitchen, dining area, large seating area with fireplace and tv.

any thoughts/adivice

Or select all the elements, and get yourself some graph paper and plot it out.

You need minimum 2' depth for a cook wall, a 48 min clearance to an island. You need a solid surface top , and island I would not extend beyond, 10 feet. You need another 5' between end of island and a dining table..... THEN WHAT?

PLOT IT OUT. go get some graph paper. Decide what means "seating " to you.

Make sure it fits on the property.

Consider sun exposure in the afternoon. Shade. Add in landscaping for interest and possibly privacy. Post pictures of your space with info on your general location. Any views?

The size of the pergola will have more to do with the scale of the home you're attaching it to.

You might not want all these features under one structure. Do you want to spend $10k or $50k?

You'd better head to the town, find out how much lot coverage is allowed to be hard surface coverage, or better yet? Consult the architect. There are eco systems and drainage issues to be considered in many areas.

The plot tells us nothing about the house not even the size or where you plan to add this. You must have drawings from the architect and you should know the size of space you have to work with . I agree many things come into play when planning outdoor space . We will wai for proper info.
