Furnitute for dark grey walls and warm wood color scheme. HELP!

last year

The place I'm moving to has a color scheme that I don't know what to do with. What color furniture would even work?
Down the road, I want to paint the doors black, so I'm probably going to paint the walls white.

pretty cool, as in cold, not warm and comfortable.

a warm white, like SW Alabaster would lighten and compliment the floor, and wainscotting.

Keep the furniture on the light side, even patterned, not leather.

a nice area rug could introduce some colors that you like... Wayfair has some nice affordable options. I am partial to the faded shades... take a look, it could influence your direction.

Those gray floors are cooling off your space are you keeping the wall paint. If not, maybe a white can help.

And what about white furniture. Here is one image just perfect for American Memorial Day weekend.

I need info. Is this a home you own? Waht style do you like ? I love leather furniture have owned leather forever it is neither cold or limited to black or brown. I love gray but you give us no idea of your furniture atyle you like so pics of things you like piosted here in comments will help us help you . Iwent to your idea book and you love gray so use it. I have a love for gray too and have had it in my home for the past 17 yrs and have no intention of changing it . Do waht you love it will always be right . I used vancouver Day from C2 for my walls they look white until you see white next to them This my LR I happen to love MCM and its funny most people never find our home cold . IMO the people who live in the home make the space warm. That said why do you have to have those dark walls at all The wood pannelling would make me crazy it is in no way attractive But we need info.

Grey and brown can be tough to work with because one is warm and one is cool (as mentioned before in this thread). You can make the color combination look intentional by using patterns with grey and brown (pillows, rugs) and spreading the grey and brown around the room.

You mentioned painting the walls white and the doors black. Do you have an inspiration photo of what you like?

Modern boho style is a good choice for a grey, brown, white color scheme. Charcoal or chestnut brown furniture could look good in your space.

Thanks for info, congratulations on your new house. Since you are buying and will be planning your new place, it would be good to have a couple estimates, especially if there are long term changes. I suggest estimates for new flooring and for new paint through out the house.

The Boho look suggested above by deegw will work well long term. If you buy a mix of things you love and things that are useful for now, you can gradually move to only things you love in a color scheme you love, too.

We think the space you have is wonderful, but it does look like it needs some lighter paint to help the space along. Below are a few living room designs we have done for clients which we think might help you along with decor.
