Until you show YOUR room and furniture? It's rather a mystery what you own, right?

Here is how to post a Design Dilemma to get the best results. You need to show the whole space—all four sides of an entire space—even if it’s about one specific Dilemma.

Keep in mind that you're inviting some design pros and people with a design eye into your home via photos. If they walked into your actual space, they would take in all of it: all four sides, doorways, floors, windows, ceiling, built-in fixtures, lighting, trim--the "givens"--then the features that can be changed--furnishings, paint, art, rugs, decor items, etc. It's all one first impression. Same thing with photos. That's why it's important to provide well lit photos of the entire space, taken from all sides of a room regardless of the size of your problem.

Thanks Jan for taking the time to draw the room. We have a long radiator under the window, which is why we cannot put the sofa there. I did not post pictures because my question was about dimensions, and I provided the dimensions of the room. What sofa size would work in that room and if you think, based on the room dimensions, that it can be placed across from the fireplace?

They are WHAT and you still have no pictures of the room that who knew had a radiator under a window?

Please don't post to a design site if you're not going to provide visual information designers need to make good suggestions. They take in an entire space, not just one element of it, or they wouldn'be be designers. Oh, you have a radiator! That would've been nice to know ahead of time. How large are your furnishings? What size is a rug? Do you have a rug? Not a clue. Read the directions for posting a Design Dilemma.

Thank you all for your replies. I am not home now to take pictures, and will not be there for another month. So I guess this question would need to wait.
