I need help designing the exterior of my house!

will soon be getting a new roof, new gutters and a new garage doors, but first I’d like to paint. I hate the brown and since we’re replacing all the items listed above i feel like i have the chance to really up our curb appeal!

I’d be open to a lighter brown maybe, but hate the current brown! im stuck!! not willing to paint the brick, but wanting to change the brown and tan! I dont have the eye for design so really need help!! also considered covering the three posts at the top in cedar? but just need helping deciding on how to bring it all together!

If the windows could be painted I would push everything more saturated mcm- probably paint everything black fox with a lime green door, and add lush landscaping. Cool house.

I would choose the lightest color of the brick. Unify the look, any contrasting color will only result in what you already have.

    Plant a tree!

With a magic wand I’d add glass over the front door and the window to the left. While we are spending money…

What color is the new roof going to be?

I like the dark brown paint in Bev's rendering.. You won't need to buy new garage doors, just paint them...their style is consistant with the house's era. The brick is an earth tone so go with warm tones in the roof.

    few things. lots of pics.

can't really tell if you brick is more pinks/taupes,

    or more like these bricks

    But I'll go w/the more pink/taupe colors.

I 100% agree about those window. the weird siding trim on the sides and above, plus the bright white frames, aren't the best. At the very least replace these two front windows, and save up for the others.

Landscaping will be 75% of the overall look. if you aren't willing to change it at all, I wouldn't even bother w/the rest.

A quick photoshop doing more of a modern feel.

landscape, with a tall tree (off to the left) a nice walking path. I gave you Bronze framed windows, bronze light, mahogany door and bronze panel garage doors w/opaque glass.

don't want the hassle of grass? then do something like this

Next color combo, blush tones, and grays that have pink/taupe undertones. heres one w/a white garage door or a weathered gray stain. gave you a blush pink front door since it goes well w/the brick. redo windows to a gray frame

roof could be a silver or charcoal gray color.

This roof is a brown shake style. looks nice w/these taupe colors

If it was mine, I'd mortar was or liime wash the brick w/Romabio. (google image)

Since the brick is already light, the limewash shouldn't be too difficult.

You'd get a similar look. this is a natural product w/no upkeep. it will patina over 20 yrs.

Love this one too. you could do darker window frames and a charcoal roof. notice landscaping as well.

If you want a solid coverage, use the masonry lime and tint it any color

    Here's a before brick,

and an after with a taupe gray shade

    Love the landscaping too

another one. white garage doors. you could also do a mortar wash on the brick.

Ok, last before and ater. this is a split level, but it does have the brick. and similar grass like yours.

Look at the diff. They mason-limed the brick, painted the siding, new window, garage doors, front door, roof. but look at the landscaping. pretty low maintenance.

and they're pretty basic too! do you plan on doing garage door openers? would make life easier.

even standard garage doors can loo better w/the addition of some carriage hardware, (pretty cheap) or a row of window panels

I like this board/batten style of door

    simple carriage style

but if you go for the more modern/mcm look, I like this style door for your home.

Heck, even build basic garage doors can look a bit more modern by doing this:

check out Cloplay or C.H.I. doors. lots of styles

Gorgeous (but not the simple carriage sorry).
