Room divider for tween loft bedroom

My 10 yr old needs a temporary bedroom in our loft ( one year until older sibling moves out) The entrance is 8’ x 12’
She really wants rainforest wallpaper and we compromised by agreeing to a rainforest divider curtain wall and maybe paint.
My concerns are losing the natural light from the upstairs loft and being able to see the divider from below and yes, we need to work around the hanging hoop, but it will be fully enclosed by divider when closed
I will pin the ideas I have found in the comments. Would love to hear feedback and any other suggestions

Curtains are the same on both side. First blocks all light and second blocks little light without a backing

Since blocking the view into the room from below doesn't actually require opaqueness to the ceiling, could you hang the curtains on longer hooks to allow some light from over the top to still light the area beyond the curtain? Or sew more transparent fabric on the top of the opaque ones to allow passage of filtered light?
This is a shower curtain, but just to show the concept

These are the longer chain hooks to leave the top somewhat open

I suggest a Soshi type screen instead of curtain. Curtains move with air movement and look temporary.
