My brugmansia grew two shoots. Can I cut off the larger of the two side shoots ( it seem to grow out from the main trunk below soil level ) and just stick it in soil in its own pot, without removing any leaves ? Or is this the wrong time of year and it will be a serious set back ? I normally root cutting in water in the fall after bringing them indoors, but we still have 2 months of outdoors time ahead of us... and I was planning to give it away as present.
