I'm not a fan of bringing attention to a arage dppr, unless it's wood tone with the same wood tones as decorative trim on the house. This house appears to have forgotton to tie in wood trim on the second floor. If you only want to paint your garage door, match it to thr body of your home. Do select a door with some unique windows or hardware. but keep in mind the overall style of your house it should blend , rather than look like a replacement door. Good luck.

Agree with Chloe bud — you do not want to bring attention to the expanse of a garage door. It should blend not stand out.

I like a contrasting garage door and or one with windows or fake windows.

Thank you all for your insights and virtual color application... the "visual" is most helpful for me when choosing a color that complements the style and existing color palette of the house.

I could live with a white garage door, on your house, but, I would much prefer, it to be the same color as the siding. I do like having some windows in it.

This just is my personal preference, but when windows are close to the roof, I don't care for shutters on them. That goes, also with the shutters on the double window, None fit properly.

Would you ever consider painting the entire house one color and painting the front door black?

I actually like the garage door white and the front door red. Yep, just the way it is. If you want a change, how about royal blue for the front door? Black seems like it would be boring on your house.

No strong opinion on a garage door color but will suggest your replace the current garage door with one that has lites (windows). Nothing opens up a flat and unappealing garage door like windows.

Do you have an opinion regarding the style of garage lites (vertical /horizontal) to coordinate with the home's existing exterior elements?
