Does it not come in a jumbo slab you can use for counter and backsplash ? I ssume they think visually it would look odd to be only at one sink

Apparently the length of the quartz sheet is about 7-8" too short. I was thinking 2 seams might be better, one at each sink. The fabricator wants to put the seam in the middle of the overall counter.

You purchased the wrong size slab. You need a jumbo or super jumbo slab to avoid the seam. It will cost more but look better.

If this type of slab isnt in your budget then the fabrcator is correct. The least amount of seams the better which means a single seam in the center.

Another option would be having your center cabinet dropped down to a vanoty height. Then you would have three separate counter tops.

You do NOT need a Jumbo. That is overkill. Even a standard slab of quartz can handle 103” Are you trying to do this out of remnants? Or not purchasing a full slab? Cambria is 122x55. Silestone is 120x55. MSI is 120x63. Etc.

Less seams are better. And sometimes seams are so close you can barely see them.

I think some brands of quartz are smaller only 115 or 120 inches. Could you choose another brand? Some Quartz brands like Cambria are larger. Pompeii makes a giant jumbo size too.

It is not; you have been misinformed. Standard engineered stone sheets are 120". No jumbo needed.

Another reason that you could "need" a seam is that the fabricator cannot figure out how to get the slab into your bath. This may be due to tight clearances. There may be a doorway or stairwell that it just won't fit through.

If that is the case, there may be a more expensive/imaginative way to get the counter into the bath and avoid a seam altogether.
