Is that Stepanotis on Falkor's necklace?

Your posts are as welcome as anyone's. You Constitutional freedoms are not diminished here or anywhere in our USA.

I see you have two green thumbs and eight green fingers. What splendid dahlias, and a water lily bloom, too, plus two grand pooches. You live in Paradise, Jemma!

Lovely summer pictures. Love the doggies.

These pictures are so great Really beautiful! But I don't know why you feel your post on popular?

    Love the doggies & dahlias!

The 1st doggy pic is my favorite. Look at that big black button of a nose! Adorable! Great colors in the pic too.

I love your waterlily. Do you know the name of it? Is it hardy or tropical? Is that in a water tub? I grow several tropical waterlilies in water tubs. The hardy ones don't rebloom as much for me, even though we get a few freezes. These tropical types (King of Siam, Red Cup( night bloomer), Miami Rose, & an unknown fragrant white) apparently can survive freezes in the water tubs. I have been meaning to seperate some and take them down to the ponds and see if they can make it out there.

Your puppies are adorable! Do they have Jack Russell in them?

Picture with dog in yellow is a masterpiece! Love all you other pictures as well!

Moses, yes it is. It grows happily in my garden and keeps sending out pods. I can send you some seeds if you like.

    Thanks Soozie and DD!

Vaporvac, I made a grateful post previously and had low engagement.

Sultry Jasmine, sorry I do not know your name. I purchased it 7 years ago from a nursery who had it in a big plastic tub. It has lived in a black pot, retains the heat well that I water-sealed. I don't recall the name but its a nymph if that helps. The boys are mutts. half Chihuahua, poodle and some other unknown breeds.

Elena, he looks like a muppet here =)

Sorry Jemma, but placing in header "My post are not popular." is a very common marketing trick we are talking in other thread. Nothing personal, I love it!

Elena, strange comment since I did not say if marketing tricks are ethical or not. My header has nothing to do with marketing, just the fact that my previous header where I thanked everyone on here got only viewed by you and two more people.

Out of curiosity Where does it say how many people post? I try and look at most posts but Don't comment on many due to the fact that it looks like Illiterate Do to Hulu Can you mute it Edit edit my posts and some people can't even understand them. I don't think anyone was dissing your post

    Jemma,

Thank you for the kind offer of Stephanotis seeds. I grew a Stephanotis years ago. It was pot cultured and brought inside for the winter. It was a tough old bird, bloomed when fed a high phosphorus liquid feed, and grew vigorously.

As it matured , about after 3-4 years, it grew one pod. I couldn't believe my eyes. It looked like a kosher dill pickle. In due time it split open and the inside looked like a furry hamster took refuge in it, sleeping away as it stuck out, barely fitting.

Dark brown seeds were attached to the furry interior of the pod. I planted the seeds and just about every one germinated and grew vigorously. They were gifted all around my circle of friends. My parent Stephanotis plant was wintered in a spot where it occasionally froze and succumbed.

Right now I don't grow tropicals that need hauling in for the winter. So, thanks again for the offer of seeds.

Moses, I get it, tropical plants are work. I have to take in and out my fuchsias right now because I don't have a good shaded spot for them.

The pod at first looked like a fruit. I was so excited! Instead it was full of furry seeds.

Cute dog! the dahlias are very pretty

Love your waterlily, and that you've had it for 7 years! I've tried multiple times to grow them in a pond but they are always immediately eaten.

Flowers are pretty but dog pics are the best!

Caroline (NC Piedmont 7B/8A)Thank you! What is eating them?

    Lovely photos 🙂

And FWIW, replies are no indicator of views - people often look at posts without posting a comment - I know I do.

Also, sadly, Gardenweb activity has slowed to crawl over the years. This site is definitely not as active as it was in its heyday. Many of the formerly busy forums are virtually dead now.

Well, since you asked :) Here's Penny among my plants in the chair she's claimed as her own, as well as at the park last summer next to my favorite crape myrtle. (No blooms on the crape myrtle this summer -- not sure why! All the other crape myrtles around town are blooming just fine.) She's my best friend.

What gorgeous photos, Windowsill! Penny is adorable.

Z10Socal, I would love to know who is eating the water lilies. We have turtles, otters, ground hogs, and deer in and around the pond, so it feels like it could be anyone. I should put up a camera.

Love all the dogs on this thread!

windowsill_gardener, Look at that smile! 😘🐶
