I've tried searching this to death, but most of the response I've found are older so looking to see some updated responses.

We have a 48" inch gas range and are looking at a hood insert, everything I read keeps coming back to a few common brands (but we're open to any recommendations):

We're looking at the 900 - 1200cfm range for blowers and the location of our range is directly against the rear exterior wall, so it has a short direct duct run to the exterior and will be using a 10" or 12" duct.

What kept bringing me back to the VAH was the claims for low noise during operation since we're not able to go external or in the above rafters. Any recommendations or input is greatly appreciated.
