Exterior paint colors for “Tropical Tudor”?

We are currently replacing our hurricane shutters with bronze framed impact windows. The removal of the shutters exposed the old house paint and some rotten wood. The front porch and the right side of the house has a coral rock facade and the roof is brown asphalt shingles.
I’m looking for paint ideas as well as the name of this style architecture.

More pics needed, a close up of the rock on the porch for one. I would remove the trim that give your house the look that there was a garage door out the front at one time.

What color is your roof? What do other houses in your neighborhood look like,? What does the back look like?

You can create a great space because your home has some lovely tropical features. The chimney is a bit off but you could remove or replace with a different kind of stone.

    I'd call it a 1980's contemporary style.

What if find overwhelming is the trim. It makes the house look like Legos.

Painting the house all one color may help.

I guess you're in FL, so keep it light - off white or another light color. So many choices - just find one that complements your new windows and roof. I agree with the other commenters that you seem to have too much trim - it looks busy.

NO tudor there at all. IMO remove all that trim thta is not neccessary and that you are thinking makes this a tudor. Then come back with pics of the house witout the trim and with the new windows .. Waht was the reason for the bronze color choice ? Please tell me the grid windows are also going .No grisd anywhere in windows on that house .I think maybe more coastal FLA than contemporary but either way a much simpler facade .

I think something like SW 6206 Oyster Bay would be pretty!

If you are still wanting a yellow, try SW 2813 Downing Straw.

Thanks for all the input. To answer some of your questions, the sides and back of the house have none of the excessive trim that the front has. Most of the other houses in the neighborhood, both one and two story, have the coral rock facade. Many homes have removed the wood trim. The builder offer the option of no garage which we had always assumed was a remodel by one of the previous owners. The grid windows are glass block.

Definitely a 1980"s contemporary and there is nothing Tudor about it.

Here is an article about a designer that updated a similar style house.

Those are not Tudor details. That's just typical Florida trim to dress up a house.

I never understand eliminating a garage in favor of living space in a place like Florida where weather and flying debris are always a factor. Any chance you can make the garage reappear?

I've never seen a garage cut a home in half like this one must have. THAT was a good reason to eliminate it, but they didn't follow through. The cars, the block, the trim...If you are going to do a job don't stop before it's complete.

Warm ivory since you have bronze trim, you're in Florida, and you have a stone feature.

Thanks for all your great suggestions.
I looked up 1980s Contemporary and found these features:
    Asymmetrical facades ✔️
    Geometric shapes ✔️
    Unusual roof lines ✔️
    Stone accent features ✔️
    Cathedral ceilings ✔️
    Glass block ✔️
    Marble bathrooms w/platform tubs ✔️
    Two car garages ✔️
So, definitely 80s Contemporary. Although that label doesn’t sound as timeless as Art Deco or Colonial. Who knows, maybe it will comeback in style like Mid-Century Modern.

Ok, the impact windows are installed (except on in the back which was the wrong size). Here are a few more pics with the shutters removed and the new windows. I found an app that will show different paint colors on a picture you provide so I’m going to play around with it to test some paint combinations.

    Terrific color blocking.

I like it so much better than what it was. Good job.

Taking some of the advice we go on this forum we removed about 70 linear feet of 2X10 trim and all of the T1-11 siding. We re stuccoed the exposed walls to match the existing walls. We used Behr Moongaze for the walls and Behr Off Broadway for the trim. We painted under the eves to emphasize the asymmetrical roof line. Here are a few more pics.

Original style looks like a “cedar contemporary” style. Updates look great!
