Just simply responding to the competition, as Bailey Nurseries is now introducing Flowerfull this year (another smooth hydrangea with a similar description).

Hey @luis_pr, even I, a Canadian, was able to acquire 3 of these "Flowerfull" in August and September of 2024. And so Bailey already got a leg up on PW and I don't think I have seen yet as to when "SP" will be for sale in 2025 and looking at @chrysalid original post I see the date 2026!

Yes, indeed. I heard from several people last year who all acquired them in Canada. Maybe it was you and others. I was told that Jeffries Nurseries, located in Manitoba, has had them for a while so I wonder if they were helping Bailey Nurseries somehow. SP seem to specialize in the development and propagation of new ornamental shrub varieties (like breeding, trialing) and PW introduces many of the shrubs under the Proven Winners brand.

@ rouge21_gw (CDN Z5b/6a) I haven't seen anything about the official about SP being released this year, but I expect that we will see a few in our local nurseries given the competition with FlowerFull.

Hey @chrysalids I did some inquiring and SP will be available sometime this year, mid summer in Canada and so for sure you sooner than that i.e. sometime in the spring for Americans.

Invincibelle Storm Proof is available now online at https://tinyurl.com/yc8z2n3m . You should see larger plants in garden centers this summer. It's quite a bit different than Flowerfull.

Looking forward to seeing them at our local garden centers. I can always make room for one more hydrangea! :-)
