Furniture Dining Room Home Decorating

Help with furniture colors

I’m needing some help on what would wood color would compliment a black dining table with a cherry top?
My foyer is open to my dining room and I’m trying to find a sideboard table that would work well with my table.
Should I just go with black?
I’ve also thought about having the top of the table striped to change the color & add chair pads but that doesn’t seem practical. The table was custom made.

And the floor is Oak? Maybe a table cloth along with ypur chair pads or slipcovers.

Otherwise the table is such a strong statement I think you need to work with it. Black works with the floors so I would opt for black. Depends on what the other furniture is like but any style looks good in black.

Use black chalk paint on something DIY.

Thank you! I actually ordered a bureau in black a couple of weeks ago… should be in soon! I couldn’t think of any other options, but the piece is beautiful so I think it will work great
