Neutral colors that coordinate with SW Natural Linen ** photos below

Hi! Our house will be painted SW Natural Linen, the trim will be BM White Dove. I'm looking for another neutral, maybe one shade deeper than Natural Linen, for the bedrooms and basement, a color a big cozier. For the painter we want to stick to Sherwin Williams for the second wall color. We don't want to go gray, and it has to be a neutral. The flooring in the bedrooms and basement will be carpet, but we haven't picked out a color for that yet. We live in Minnesota. Any suggestions? Thank you very much.

maybe one shade deeper than Natural Linen

Here's a range of colors that sit in the same hue family pocket as Natural Linen but darker.

Chroma (degree of colorfulness) gets more neutral/grayer as you go down the list. Which wasn't intentional just worked out that way probably because the search is limited to just Sherwin Williams.

You might want to check SW site for natural Linen.

next color in the row is the Malabar.

Why did you select Natural Linen to begin with? It's a warm color that leans pink IMO.

I would not consider it a 'neutral' color'.

These paint colors below are much more neutral in their undertones.

Lori Sawaya: I cannot see the colors in your post, it's too small. I was considering accessible beige for the basement and bedrooms.

CJ click on Lori's picture in her post. It gets much larger and is very easy to read.

Depends on what Medium Cherry finish is used, but I would not select Natural Linen.

Also have you thought about what your countertop will be?

These are the cabinets. I'm welcome to any suggestions, just not gray and not a color. I'm trying really hard, but I'm no decorator. Going light with the counters, they are not picked out yet, but they need the paint colors by Monday. Help! Thank you, I appreciate it more than you know. Since the fire we haven't slept much, we are in the home stretch now, I guess. Really don't want to make a big mistake on the paint for the main living areas.

Sorry I do not like that color for walls at all and wall color comes after flooring is chosen too. I do not think dark beige or even light beige is a neutral at all so I need context to understand the choice and why this is a big rush when nothing else is decided . THis is not new build so why this rush to pick paint at all tell the painter to prime and you will choose color when the other elemnts are chosen .IMO beige and cherry are not good together at all the most complemntary color is a shade of green I love this cut 50% for wall color that is trully neutral like nature ,This is BM but for sure can be colormatched

Agree with Patricia that beige and cherry don’t work well. What about SW Creamy? It’s a beautiful ivory. I also like SW Antique. Both of these will complement your kitchen cabinets better than any beige or gray.

    Get samples asap.

The budget allows 2 colors for the whole house. The house was taken down to the studs, so essentially it's a new build, after 7 months. It won't be green, even though that's what I would choose if it was my own home. The counters will be a creamy granite of some kind and the floors will be 2 shades lighter than the cabinets for contrast, a wood tone vinyl plank floor. We are picking out the counters and floors today. That is our timeline and that's just a reality for the second half of our nightmare. If I order some paint samples today they will arrive by tomorrow from samplize. The house will be a rental, the person has actually been waiting 7 months. Our budget is very low, the fire and insurance was a nightmare. I'll look at SW Creamy and was thinking maybe BM Pale Oak, even though they'd prefer to stay with their account at Sherwin Williams. Cabinets are being installed this week. I was thinking one color for the whole house and one shade darker for the bedrooms and basement, for more of a cozy feel. I'm thinking White Dove for the trim, we want a warmer white. We are in Minnesota. Thanks for your help.
