Garbage Disposal Switched Receptacle

Hi all, so I am trying to install a reverse osmosis system under my sink, however it looks like my outlet is wired to only turn on when my garbage disposal switch is on. Based on my pictures, is there a way for me to wire this so the bottom plug is switched and the top plug is always on?

Put that all back in place, then install an air switch for your garbage disposal in your countertop please. Now the wall switch and duplex receptacle are always on. Easy fix, inexpensive, and convenient.

It looks like I would have to drill a hole in my counter for the air switch. Would I be able to also use a Alexa enabled power strip to control the power to the disposal?

Hire the top hole drilling please. I can't answer Alexa questions.

You could use a Wireless Remote Control Outlet and Switch. Return the outlet to its electrical box. Remove and bypass the current disposer wall switch or just leave it on.
