Try using odban.

White vinegar would help with the lingering odor, not sure if it will help the discolouration. Haves used vinegar to cleanup after cats, so know it works on odours .

I had a litter of puppies a long time ago. I used vinegar and baking soda - A LOT of it.

You couldn't smell anything once everything had dried and baking soda was vacuumed off carpet.

As others have said, vinegar. We've also had success with folex.

I've used Nature's Miracle but keep Resolve Pet on hand.

It has to have the enzyme remover, because dogs' sense of smell so much stronger than ours.

Of course, this is a short-term solution. Long-term, you may not be able to keep the carpet. Unless you can keep the dog from that room.

Dani, do you use white or apple cider vinegar? And do you put that down, and then sprinkle or rub baking soda in? I'd like to try this remedy first (after my already failed attempts) because I have those things on hand.

I really like My Pet Peed. If you can't get a hold of that, Odoban works really well but I haven't been able to find an unscented version. The original Eucalyptus is too perfumey for me.

The best product I've ever used on both pet and really stubborn food stains are the Bissell Stomp and Go leave on pads. Almost magical. 😊 I have both their large and hand held machines and imagine they have a liquid additive for those but I haven't needed one for an entire carpeted room so haven't looked to buy.
