Throw Pillow Help! Need to brighten up an unused room for Thxgiving.

Help! What color pillows do I buy to brighten up this old couch?! We’re hosting Thanksgiving and I need to turn this unused room (currently housing our puppy!) into a temporary sitting room for the holidays!

Note: Eventually we’ll design this room. We sis a renovation and it was our dining room. Just haven’t had the chance to decide how to use it.

You need life in this room. I understand not buying rugs & comfortable chairs until you decide the use of the room but a few colorful pillows would really add cozy.

More important than throw pillows, your room requires a larger area rug and wall art.

I would select a larger ceiling fixture also.

Since room is for temporary usage on Thanksgiving and you don’t have a plan for room‘s actual use in the future, pillows are fine/will be hardly noticed. If you did want to add a bit more interest, suggest adding a throw across the end of couch that can be used in your living room or a bedroom afterwards.

You do realize on Amazon those are the covers only, no inserts. Just thought I'd mention in case you didn't already know. I have purchased Miulee covers from Amazon and have been happy with quality and appearance. Only once was I not, this one had a metallic stripe, the whole cover looked cheap, but others from Miulee have been very nice. I like the first set of colors suggested by jck.

Get a large art work in fall colors and coordinating pillows from society6.com., They come in all sizes. Then coordinate with pillows, which society6.com also offers. Just plug in colors you want.

Do think about transitioning your room to a nice seating area for all the holidays. Find some nesting tables and a coffee table in thrift shops or online so people have a place to put down plates and drinks. Look on FB Marketplace for a large rug in golds, tans. Add a thrifted buffet cabinet/sideboard for a temporary bar. Make it a fun project!

Go find a fun piece of art buy pillows tat are in colors from the art and be done. BTW puppies need to think the craite is their happy place so I never shut the crate when I am home it allows thme to feel free to use it as a home and a safe place not a punishment Sorry free advice off topic but I have had many puppies in my life and all have been happy to go into the crate all day but the only time the crate is closed is at night usually in our case .
