Gardeners were VERY generous! I was thrilled ❣️My DH & I are volunteers for our HOA. We were able to plant the HOA gardens with deer proof, drought resistant Iris! I kept a few for myself...but the dirt bare gardens should FLOURISH next Summer. I'll update with photos when they bloom. Yellow and purple....

It was an INSANE amount of work!

Here are just a few...planted. Some of the rhizomes were small...maybe miniatures? I won't know until they bloom....

My favorite flower, Nicole.

It hasn’t meant that I have "gone over the top" with planting them ;o). Just that I take real pleasure in seeing them show up every Spring. Vegetables in the garden are primary and growing flowers for bouquets favored other species. But, iris are sure beautiful. ↑See!? Some are still blooming right now in 4 locations in my yard and have not burned up in our dry, 80° heat.

The Siberian iris have just begun to bloom. They have become too crowded and need spreading out. This little task for them will be the only one I can remember in the nearly 30 years that they have brightened a shady corner of the yard.

digit.....Iris are deer proof. Perfect flower for where I live! I also planted Oriental Poppies, Veronica/in the sage family, Asiatic lilies, Stella De Oro Daylilies, sedum, Allium....bushes...it's a large border garden!

I used Miracle Grow Bloom on these. Does anyone else have MGB success? The ones to the left...a section of about 30, not one bloom...I must have missed using fertilizer on them.
