Anyone use BM Bayshore Beige? Or similar?

This is what our bedroom looked like a while back. We have new bedding, a bit darker than this.

We bave a new bed coming, which is upholstered, no more bed skirt. The bed fabric is very neutral, kind of an off white with gray flecks.

This is my bedding:

NOTE: the wallpaper stays!

The walls were painted when we first moved in, before we had any real plan for the room but we did have the rug. The walls are a similar olivey green but many shades lighter. I have never been in love with the wall color and you know, since we are getting a new bed we might as well re-paint, right? I want a warm and cozy, but light, color and so far, Bayshore Beige looks pretty good with the bedding, the trim, and the wallpaper.

Everything else I’ve tried is too pink. But I am even a little leery that the Bayshore Beige might be too pink. I like pink, but not baby pink. My wood furniture not shown is natural cherry, a bit lighter than the woodwork. I feel like I need a peachy-beigey-pink sort of color.

Have you used Bayshore Beige or something in that realm? Any other colors you think I should look at?

I have not used it but the color is certainly just what you want, a warm neutral with faint peach pink undertones. Your first pick is a good one.

I was going to DIY, but then I figured it would kill my shoulder, so I called upon my trusty painter and he said he can fit me in within the next few weeks.

Side note, ks: I forget what I was posting about maybe a year or two ago? maybe lamps? and you suggested an upholstered headboard and I said no no no. Well, the upholstered headboard is coming! I was a bit slow to catch on. 😉

I do have the sample sheets (multiples) and I have the bed fabric sample and it looks fine. I am probably not describing the fabric very well.

But now I need to go look at my samples with the band aid thought in mind! Eeek.

Sorry! Did not mean to put that image in your head if it isn't there. Your description made me picture the bed fabric as somewhat cool and that might make the walls read pink. Put your paint samples on the walls, (corners are particularly good for seeing how undertones come out in the shadows) and pop into the room at various times of day. Are you looking at everything all laid out together or set up in the room on the planes they will inhabit?

I have an aversion to pink and when it's an undertone. I know that you like it, so my opinion on this probably isn't worth anything. However, I'm seeing what DLM is seeing.

I would wait until the headboard arrives to see how the bedding, headboard, wallpaper all look together.

I have always liked your wallpaper Sue. Have you thought of another shade of green?

Ha, literally ordered 8 green samples this morning! Occurred to me that I may be trying too hard to make a pinkish color work and I know green works, I just need to tweak the current green (which I remembered is BM Limestone….among the samples I ordered is its neighbor, Flowering Herbs).

Also, my office across the hall is pink so I am in danger of pink overload.

Looking again at the bed fabric, I think I would call it a very light taupe, not off white. It is a bit lighter IRL than it looks here, at least on my screen.

Not what you want to hear, but I would wait on paint color. Get everything in the room, headboard, bedding, etc. paint colors change with all the elements in the room, light reflecting also.

By the way, love all your choices so far!

Agree with Arapaho and njmomma especially after seeing your bed fabric - get all the players together before choosing paint.

    NOTE: the wallpaper stays!

I certainly hope it does! I love that wallpaper.

I'm kinda in the camp that Njmomma is in... wait on the paint color. Your whole view of the room may change once the bed is assembled and in place with the bedding, neither of which are as negotiable as paint color.
