I would recommend waiting on the sideboard.

At least until you make the decision on the dining table.

Preferably until you make the decision on the kitchen remodel.

IMO the table comes first but why this cabinet in a kids space at all I think you need to wait since it seems big changes are planned . Slow down and plan first . I see no cherry dining table . I for sure think you need major storage in thta space but a bit confused as to where and with what this cabinet will work

The suggestion on soft white moulding is a great one. definitely get a new dining room table and chairs before anything else. the current table screams country and doesnt go with the rest of your lovely home.

I suggest you make a plan for all the furniture you plan on buying and start by choosing a table and chairs you like and then find a coordinating sideboard.

The table and chairs shown in the visual below ,with the sideboard you like, are all from Crate & Barrel. They have a few other nice models.
