I couldn't read the article and will never pay to see it. I did see a picture of the tomato with super thick walls but two easily fit in a persons hand. Be a pal and copy and paste some of the important points in the article.

I did read an article a few weeks ago where fresh vegetables bought at the grocery stores could have up to a 38% drop in one or more minerals and vitamins compared to the vegetables growing in the 1950's. The author used the term "hidden hunger" in the article to suggest one could have a nutrient deficiency eating what they think is healthy but the decades of breeding programs are starving America.

I have found the same article in about 4 other newspapers but they are all behind a paid firewall. It is too long to quote any relevent snippets.
