how can I reuse my dining room table base and have a new top made

I have a teak dining room table that has a beautiful, sturdy base. The top has some water/heat stains I can't get out and I always wished the top was wider (length is 104 with leaves and width is 39 inches). Is there a way to use the base and get a top made of stone or something besides wood to have the finished product be a few inches wider?
