The fires are big news over here in Europe, too. I hope you forum members in the fire-struck areas are safe.

We were without power for about 28 hours, but we are a safe distance NW from the nearest fires. The "Eaton" fire, near to Pasadena, took in a lot of territory I know well, which is sad. Sadder still is the news of lives lost.

I wish I did not believe that "firebugs" are culpable in this tragedy. Sadly, decades of past experience make me believe that they have been busy.
