Hows the new hip coming along?

It's been painful but I'm coming along. I feel myself getting stronger every day. But my sciatica is still there and I'm limited on what pain meds I can take. The problem is I'm doing too much... type A and all. Chasing after an injured hawk without using any support aids or anything is not the best way to heal...my PT said she doesn't remember seeing that in my plan! So today it's taking it easy, using the walkers and icing, icing, and icing!

See surgeon on Friday for a follow up so we'll see what they say.

Mtn, beautiful gifts!

Poor thing was concussed from flying into our glass railing. I managed to scoot him off the deck figuring once he got away from the railing, he'd be able to fly away, but he didn't. He hung around in the corner by our garage for several more hours. At sunset we went to put a bin with holes over him to keep him safe until animal control could fetch him the next day, but he managed to skitter away fast enough that we weren't able to catch him. Hopefully, especially as he was getting better, he found safe haven for the night and has since returned to normal activities.

The peonies are stunning.

Got back from Dr's and they said I'm well ahead of most at this stage. They seemed happy...stitches out... x-ray looked good. All I need now is patience to let the healing happen.
