Redoing a 5' X 5' powder room with just a pedestal sink & toilet

The powder room is off a long hall that is painted BM MarItime White. The powder room has no natural light. I want to paint it neutral but not the same as the hall. I've kind of decided on Manchester Tan with Chantilly Lace trim. The hall trim is also Chantilly Lace. My question, should I go with Kohler white pedestal sink and toilet or Kohler Biscuit? I had Kohler Memoir biscuit in my other house with shaker beige and loved it (the room was bigger).

Looking for suggestions. Thanks.

I agree with Chispa. White is what is happening today,

I always go for a clean, simple white bathroom fixture. Even when biscuit could look nice, I still prefer clean white.

I'm such a Maritime white fan. I had it in a hallway that opened into a powder room even smaller than yours, painted dramatic, inky blue black.

It's a half bath, not shown. I'd consider a great wallpaper - given it is small space , has no window.

A paper can work wonders in a small half bath...... one that we are not SEEING. No to biscuit. White sinks and toilets are the forever color.

YUck to tan in any PR sorry this is aspace to have a bit of fun . Maybe wallpaper for instance . I too like white bathroom fixtures they allow much better changes down the road . Most PRs have no natural light so not a big desl a good over head light usually does the job. THink how much fun this would be instaed of tan walls Just think about what makes you smaile and do it in thta space

Can you add some pics? I'd lean toward some amazing wallpaper and white fixtures.

Great ideas, you all convinced me white fixtures are the way to go and I'll look at wallpaper too!

This is the PR as is. I bought the 20 year old townhouse this way. The wallpaper shown in one of the comments is too much for me, but I like the idea of wall paper. I'm changing everything. The toilet is too low. The indents in the sides of the sink make it useless to put anything on there. And, the floor is ugly tile.

My question, should I go with Kohler white pedestal sink and toilet or Kohler Biscuit? I had Kohler Memoir biscuit in my other house with shaker beige and loved it (the room was bigger).

    Two issues: Size and color.

Size: The Kohler Memoir line is, I'm pretty sure, a little larger than average. Before you commit to those items, please measure and be SURE they're going to work in a modest-sized powder room.

Color: I'm jumping on the bandwagon, but I wouldn't consider anything except white-white. First, it's classic. Second, white-white will always match white-white -- whereas biscuit, bisque, cream, almond, whatever (or items from different brands) may or may not match.

I like crisp white bathroom toilets and sinks. To me it just looks cleaner and makes it easier to change the colors in the bathroom down the road.

    I agree with that too.

White is what is happening today

White bathroom fixtures were also "happening" yesterday and will be happening tomorrow.

    Maybe wallpaper for instance

    That's a nice look.

Other thoughts: You could "create" a window with a mirror or a window frame.

    You could

Tell us what is the flooring outside the powder room?

Show some pics of the spaces beyond the powder room?

Give us a sense of the you in your home?

Why?It gives us the context an interior designer would get when she entered your home and saw the entirety of all around your powder room.......: )

You would never do this as P.C posted above.......it's "too much"

What about as just below? as HIWE suggested, clearly a nod to the Manchester Tan you referenced.

In other words? Show more, tell more :) as we aren't in there with you. .....and there are a zillion papers to be had that can kick a powder room from blah to a fantastic little jewel box.

This looks like bisque. I‘ve been doing some powder room renderings with AI. I did not ask AI for bisque, and everything else I’m being given is white (probably because I am not specifying bisque!). But this looks nice. Bisque definitely has its place.

I asked for “green silk geometric wallpaper.” This one looks beautiful.

More bisque-like, unless it’s just the lighting.

You said you loved the bisque in your other space - and I don’t see a reason why bisque would not work because of the “size” of this space...

You can‘t go wrong with white. And white is clearly all over the place. But if your issue/question is whether bisque could work in a bathroom your size - yes, it can, why not?

The flooring is the first decision as it sets the tone both style and color wise (assume you are changing given your reference as it being ugly).

If the new toilet can moved a bit, suggest a larger pedestal with a wider lip and you might even be able to add a small vanity.

You’ve waited a long time so make it impactful.
