Need help deciding siding color

I live in the house I grew up in. My family bought it in 1963. I lived with my dad the last 4 years of his life and decided to stay and update my forever home. In the 60 plus years since we bought it, there have been plenty of changes. I feel I am good with colors but the old rock is very hard for me to coordinate with a siding color. I am putting on a new roof this year and prefer very dark brown or black. I believe the rock is a warm color so I’m assuming I need a warm colored paint. I painted the color in the photos but it’s not as dramatic as I wanted. Any suggestions for siding color? My windows are white.

I would choose something like this SW Sturdy Brown

A brown roof rather than black, something with some interest.

Brown is for siding color but I think more of an Espresso with a bit more gray in it than the orange wood tone.

Continue the Charcoal trim color for railings, corners and fascia/gutters.

The porch ceiling could be a soft blue, an timeless feature that is trending again.

Here is a rough sketch of the concept blocking. These are not paint colors.

Your white trim looks like Antique Ivory in the photo...it should be a cleaner white.

A photo of the whole house would help with trim options...I would stick with the SW Sturdy Brown tone and do the trim black. you need a rich look rather than flat.

a Brown architectural shingle in varigated tones of brown, rather than a flat black shingle.

The shingle colors are limited, so I would chooe the shingle color first, then a paint color for the siding.

My first brown is a cool brown, the Sturdy brown is warm. Your current siding looks warm next to the gray grout.

Sampling is your friend. I don't care for the dark brown, but if that's what floats your boat . . . I would be looking for something darker than what you have since that seems to be the direction you're leaning, but not as dark as Sturdy Brown. You could move up the numbers to a lighter version. Although, Lyn is the professional and brown is back "in." It wouldn't hurt to sample it. Also look at Urbane Bronze. That sometimes works with light colored stone.

No to a black roof. Just because that is the roof color currently in fashion doesn't mean it's right for your house.
