The Sherwin-Williams Shoji White webpage shows Sherwin-Williams Pure White as a coordinating color.

Looks like the kitchen is already painted, and it looks very nice.

What are you trying to achieve by changing the paint color? One person’s ”winning” may not be another’s.

Agree with all of the comments so far.

So, are you asking for an actual color to paint the walls?

What I mean by that is…

Do you want something not considered a ”white” but that still reads as a neutral?

Or, do you want a specific suggestion for one of the many, many ”white” colors out there within all the different brands of paint?

The later is kind of impossible without seeing the space in person unfortunately.

That said, on my iPad screen the walls looks slightly lighter then the lovely Shoji cabinets, but they seem to blend very nicely. I would leave the wall color as is if you are just wanting a different ”white” color. The whole kitchen looks beautiful to me!

Now, if you are interested in a “color”, but still want it to be more of a neutral, I suggest trying a sample of SW Sea Salt. I have used it in several homes, but it is quite the chameleon. It can look like a light grey-green, or it can turn more of a grey-blue depending on your room’s lighting.

I am in love with your stained glass windows flanking the range hood BTW! 😍

If it were my home, I would save the money on repainting the walls and use that money to find some amazing, personalized, an more colorful artwork for the wall behind the island that compliments the blues and yellows within the stained glass.

Is this your home, or that of another?

What paint colors are you migrating toward? Looks like there are several samples on the wall.

Yes, this is my home. It just feels very white.... I was thinking/wondering if a color change to something other than white on the walls would benefit the overall look of the kitchen. Some of the walls just have primer on them. There was a wall that ran through the middle of the existing island. Thanks for the responses!

The easiest way to get rid of your "very white" is to put some color in your accessories.

I would start with the tea kettle on the stove and the canister. Replace the white ones you have with something that is a color you love (red, blue, green, purple, orange).

The second thing that I would do is to remove the decor items on the shelf above the stove. Since they are between the stove and the hood, they are still going to get greasy/grimy over time. But if you want to keep decor items there, again get something with some color.

You could also replace the coffee maker with something in the same color as the new tea kettle. They wouldn't even have to be the same shade since they are so far apart.

Will you be continuing into the adjoining rooms, are there decor color schemes to consider, will you be painting the molding, do you favour lighter or darker, and prefer a specific brand? Choosing a color is really taste specific and its actual shade even more so. Shoji has a warm undertone, so keep that in mind.

Given the dark window trim/island/doors and what looks like a bit of a narrow area by island I’d head light and if you want contrast, consider different art, lighter stools, and island pendants.

Take a look at on line kitchens with Shoji cabinets + wood trim and floors, so you can start to narrow down. The ideal method is to bring home test pots and paint wide strips on your large wall near island. This article might help. https://themorrismansionblog.com/shoji-white-sherwin-williams/

Also, read up on warm colors you have narrowed down to.

I have many issues with this space but IMO you have stained glass use that for accessories and maybe even those colors for the art and leave the wall color as is .Waht is that pic with the lighter wood cabinets got to do with this space ?I see it was the before I guess. Not important now. IMO you have alot going on in all the spaces I can see so kep the walls simple IMO
