It's a classic house with nice proportions. I can't see if the brick is painted, but I like the cream. More interesting shutters would help. I might go with a muted blue.

You have a huge yard with minimal landscaping. Now, no house looks its best mid-winter when the grass is brown, but I'd put some trees in the front yard. Shorter, flowering natives.
