Not sure if the railing is needed. If so, an updated one would be nice. Landscaping would really add to the setting. Paint all the windows same color as trim

Above suggestions for darker paint look gold. The railing is needed for the ramp,but needs to extend from beginning to end of the top landing for safety if someone is using a wheelchair or has mobility issues if only for visitors.

What a great house! I would do a good cleaning of the brick before selecting paint colors. The darker colors would be wonderful with that brick and a brightly colored door. Definitely redo the railings with something modern. Find a nice sized light fixture. After that, landscaping. Depending on how high the entry platform is, as a small step and railing on the right side of it. The picture above shows a great pathway that could go to the sidewalk or even out to a small area with a bench. I also like the look that jackowskib shows with low planting rather than big shrubs.

Other than the railings, this is a project that you could tackle on your own, a little at a time so you don't over do it or go over your budget.

Interesting house, badly in need of landscaping.

Do you need the ramp? IMO first eyesore is that railing . Landscaping comes to mind instantly when looking at that house I think all the trim and the siding one color would be better so like Beverly's idea but a much more interesting door color or style . I guess we need more info and seems the OP has left the building so we wait .
