So you consciously blocked the sliding door to the outside?

I'd select drapery panels that match the pillows you have selected and replace the rug to match.

Sorry I have no idea why since we have agreat view . I do have solar shades on the right window it faces West and there is no overhang on thta side of the house t you want. Waht do you NEED from window coverings ? Is that a sliding door ? I kind of like your rug so maybe nice linen drapes no valance and then some pillows to go with the rug I aaume that is what you have but maybe less maybe a couple of bolster type and some textured ones I would do drapes that actuall can function as drapes so min. 2.5 x thewith of the rod I have acorner window I dd drapes there too that just move the right when open. The others all to the keft when open . I do not want to cover the windows at all . I use solar shades on the right corner window since it faces W and we have no overhang from the roof on thta side That shade also allows us to keep the view and control the heta and UV . That is why I ask what you need from the window coverings

I would start with some more pictures some dimensions and then a list of what you need help with - window treatments? furniture layouts? colors?

I am not great with interior design but there are several folks on here that are awesome!! Just give them what they need to best help you.

Please take pics that can be made larger. Thanks!!

If you move the sectional away from the windows a few inches, you could hang floor-length drapes where the valances are and take the valances down.

Oops someone beat me to it and made a nice rendering.

I have an update with photos. the kitchen bar interferes with drape options on the left side of the room. how could i make things look more cohesive in the room with window coverings?

There is a slider door in the back and the view is terrible out of the windows.

yhank upu for all your ideas .

I think the three wood slat blinds are cohesive already and look very nice. Leave as is.

I would leave the sheer drapes and get two blackout curtain panels, one on each end of the curtain rod. Leave blackouts open during the day and close both at night with the sheers in the middle.

We have Miulee blackout velvet insulating panels and they fold very flat when drawn open-- they will work in the tight space on each side of the slider.

The slider is in the middle, the wall will look balanced.

I like the rug you have. The floor color is so intense it’s almost overwhelming, especially with the red blinds. Get blinds that match wall color, remove valances. Paint ceiling in a flat paint that doesn’t reflect light. As mentioned, try moving furniture around sop you can move away from slider, and try to avoid having electrical cords across walking paths. Think of it as shopping in your own home.

the furniture will be changed eventually hopefully with a large u shaped sectional and along with a large rug.

the slider door will require space to exit, at least 2.5 ft,

the floor color is strong and cant affoed to change it yet.

im looking for a windiw treatment plan that can look more i lntrresring

the view is terrible andwould like privacy.

    . thank you

Also i made the valance years ago because ii thought it looked more cohesive and added more interest and color.

    Are valances outdated today?

Like these drapes that you can close at night. Keep the sheers. Keep the blinds. Here is a sketch.
