Sideboard color in dining room

I have a dining room dillema with my table & chairs . Trying to decide on what color to use. my table is dark walnut with deep tones of brown with a slight cherry color but not much noticable.

my chairs are a light linen. So should i use a black sideboard? or some other color ? Ive tried a lighter wood & it did nothing for the table or the room . any suggestions please? My walls are Dorian Grey, med brown hardwoods, off white trim.

Suggest black and add additional black pieces (on dining table as well). A rug could be a nice addition to ground the room.

IMO a match to the table is what I would do and IMO lose those heavy looking shutters and add some drapes in a color maybe even to match the walls . The runner is kind of odd man out so myabe something a bit less juvenile or art with more color. Waht was the reason for the gray walls ? mYbe thta is what is throwing off the rest .

Lol The runner is for valentines day .. my bad .. the gray walls were all ready there .. & i wont be getting rid of the shutters they keep the cold out .. thxs for the imput !

I don't see anything for the updated pic....I think a black sideboard sounds like it would work nicely. I love the shutters.

Easier to decide after the sideboard is in room. Bring home (returnable) mirrors in both finishes in a few sizes/styles to test to see if horizontal or vertical is more flattering. You could tape kraft paper to narrow down the above before going shopping.
