With only an ariel view it’s difficult to get a sense of your home’s character. A light grey roof is pretty much a neutral and would suit lots of siding choices. Decide on style of front door and its (+) garage’s color after the exterior is finished. If you haven’t already, drive around and also look for inspiration on line.

Important to consider the type of roof.

At least show the front of the home where the entry is and as for roof color ansd material go to a roofing supply place to see what is needed where you are . When you say complete over haul of the house what exactly do you mean ? IMO if a complete redo the roof has to wait until all the rest of the changes are made since often a renovation inside changes the outside too.

If you're going to keep the yellow paint, I'd go with a cream, beige or tan roof. Otherwise a light gray. If you found a warm gray, it might work with the yellow. I'd also consider adding a window on the roof. You have a lot of second floor with no window. A shed dormer over the palm trees in the last pic would add interest to the exterior and light to the interior.

Thank you - I don’t care for either yellow or green, so I am not keeping them. It gets to be a fresh new look for everything.

The insurance company will make you install a metal roof since they don't want to insure shingle roofs anymore.
