Fireplace wall, do this set up: remove the chair rail all around in what is the loving room space. Hang the t v to the left of the fireplace and shallow cabinets below or a narrow console table. Art over fireplace. Balance is important.

Place sofa across from tv/fireplace, and add two chairs in front of window.

Thanks for the reply but I've just checked and with the TV to the left side of the fireplace I will struggle with seating and it is opposite the stairs .

Hope that's a better picture thanks got your help so far . Only alternative is to have the TV to the right which is a narrower wall or ontop of the fireplace

I would cover the fireplace and get a sofa with a chaise and place it in front of the fireplace with the TV on the opposite wall.

Is that an actual FP it looks to be an electric one do you need it for heating?If electric remove it , it is driving every choice . But I need to know the reason for it

Hello Patricia no I won't need it for heating . Im unsure if it's electric I'm quite happy to get rid of it but my partner is looking for an easier option without so much hassle and likes the look of the fireplace . So I wanted to make sure that there is a good layout with the fireplace there if no options then I guess we will have to remove it
