You need to post picture of the entire room + a floor plan with all dimensions showing doors, windows, etc. Other than a desk and chair is there anything else you need in this room.

If you do not need the doors for privacy I would remove them. If you do need them for privacy turn them into bipass doors and they will slide side to side and not in and out or Pocket doors.

Here is how to post a Design Dilemma to get the best results. You need to show the whole space—all four sides of an entire space—even if it’s about one specific Dilemma. A layout fix is often a Design Dilemma fix even if it doesn't seem like that. Commenters need to see doorways, windows, closets, finishes throughtout the space to make informed suggestions.

State right at the beginning what the room will be used for and who will use it. State the non-negotiables at the beginning, what has to be kept. Give some idea of the budget. And provide approximate measurements

Keep in mind that you're inviting some design pros and people with a design eye into your home via photos. If they walked into your actual space, they would take in all of it: all four sides, doorways, floors, windows, ceiling, built-in fixtures, lighting, trim--the "givens"--then the features that can be changed--furnishings, paint, art, rugs, decor items, etc. It's all one first impression. Same thing with photos. That's why it's important to provide well lit photos of the entire space, taken from all sides of a room regardless of the size of your problem.

First define your desk needs and based on the size/shape select the best wall, or corner. Is there a closet where a printer and files can be placed and then desk can be smaller. Try testing configurations with an on line room planner. If you provide the room’s info, you’ll get helpful advice as well.

If you just need a comfy chair, add at desk. Take advantage of the walls as well.

If needing an additional chair for someone, see if middle of room would work.

Can the french doors be changed to swing out and if not, perhaps never open the side that takes up a valuable wall, say for a chair.

I have a small library/den with a big desk and french doors. I just leave the doors open. Not a problem.
