Extremely disappointed! J&P cancelled my order of Brass Band

I placed my order on the 1st day when they were open for sale in November. I have been patiently waiting for my order to be shipped out. However, I received an email today that Brass Band was cancelled from my order! 😭😭😭 I have been wanting this rose for years!!!

Sorry to hear that KJ. Seems all the vendors are doing a bunch of cancellations this year. Usually they take a rough count in the fields and make a conservative estimate on how many they have to sell. I wonder if the issue might be gall…on social media I’ve seen so many posts of roses received with gall, and so many cancellations .

Or a big customer (landscape contractor, municipality, etc.....), came in with an order that swallowed up yours, so your rose went to them. It happens. Crop failure...unlikely. A crop failure would have been known at fall digging at the latest, before catalog printing, and certainly before your placing your order.

Well, Moses, if your guess is correct, that a landscaper’s large order “swallowed “ our little orders, that would be very hard for me to “swallow”.

Ben, probably not gall I guess? Brass Band is listed as own root in JP website. I thought only grafted get gall?

I got Brass Band from RU a couple of years ago, just to have a back-up for my elderly grafted one.
